Glass Flake Uses PDF Print E-mail

USES:

One of the most outstanding properties of Glassflake is its reduction of permeability in coatings.  This property has an adverse effect when added to coatings which contain solvents (evaporative materials).  The general rule is the higher the solvent content (within limits) the smaller the particle size.  Conversely the lower the solvent content the larger the particle size.  This is of no concern in 100% solids resin/coating vehicles.

We suggest you contact GLASSFLAKE INTERNATIONAL, INC. to discuss the inclusion of Glassflake in a new product.
